REQUIREMENTS

Everyone must go on at least 7 of the Saturday 5-mile hikes. 

Everyone must attend 1 of the 2 one-night overnight hiking trips. 
   ** We prefer for everyone to go on the first one **

Mandatory two-night overnight. All must attend. This ensures we are ready as a complete crew!

4-6     Troop Chicago trip - no hike
12      5-mile day hike - Sat
19      5-mile day hike - Sat
26      5-mile day hike - Sat

April
2       5-mile day hike - Sat - Stove and cooking practice
8-10    Troop shooting sports campout - no hike
16      5-mile day hike - Sat
23      5-mile day hike - Sat
29-30   1st one-night overnight - each participant asked to go on this one, but must go on 1 of 2

May
7       5-mile day hike - Sat
13-15   Troop biking campout - no hike
21      5-mile day hike - Sat
27-29   Mandatory two-night overnight hike for all particpants (scout and adult)
30      Memorial Day

June
2       Equipment shakedown - full equipment inspection - 7pm
4       5-mile day hike - Sat
11      5-mile day hike - Sat
17-18   2nd one-night overnight - each participant required to go on 1 of 2
25      5-mile day hike - Sat
29      Final shakedown - full equipment inspection - 7pm

July
4       Travel to Philmont via Amtrak - 7am departure
5-17    Philmont Trek
18      Return home from Philmont via Amtrak - 11pm arrival
